Bringing the SPARKLE back on a cold windy day

Soft smokey

Winged liner

Sparkle

Long lashes

Defined brows

Bronzed skin

Nude lip

And now I’m ready to seize the day

:)

-Green Lines-

If you mix blue and yellow you get green…

IMG_3651.JPG

But make it easier for yourself and get a green eye liner ;)

Dior back stage liner is waterproof, smudge proof and highly-impact colour from first touch

It has a felt tip brush which gives precision

They are made for creative and experimenting eye makeup into art form and come in so may fun colours!

I created a cat wing effect, pulling out the flicks to really elongate my eyes.

|Lived in and effortless|

Takes 10 minutes max, but really 7

A cream eye shadow and a pencil, I used goldstone and sapphire by Bobbi Brown

And blend…not too much as you want that rough lived in finish

The lip..well that’s even easier

Velvet teddy by Mac and a cotton bud to soften the edges

;)

Double lined

Soft Smokey liner

Double lining is "foolproof" No need for a steady hand.. or a straight line and it stays put no matter what you encounter on your day! Apply your eye liner of choice - I've used my ultimate fav Bobbi Brown gel liner And then simply using a small brush, go over the liner with a dark eye shadow to create that smokey liner affect.

Fall is coming

-IT’S TIME TO GET KHAKI-

Let’s face it.... the sun has gone in, the leaves are falling and the jackets are back on!

I've paired this windy cold day with a Khaki smokey eye with a touch of taupe in the crease and layers of black mascara.

We all love to rock a smokey eye and khaki is defiantly this season colour.

BLUE ON BLUE

Dare to be bold?

Bored of your everyday makeup look?

Why not spice things up and try someone bold and new!

I used the Urban Decay Electric Palette and a eye shadow primer to make it as vibrant as possible.

I packed it on with a eye shadow brush and slightly blended the edges - only a little to keep it bold.

Pair it with a nude/brown lip so all the focus is on the eyes.

;)

Are you brave enough to try something new?!

FAKE THE BAKE

A guide to fake tan, without the streaks!

Make sure you’ve showered, shaved, exfoliated from head to toe and have a clean mitt to start application.

Starting from your feet, building upwards using circular movements..  remember use less product on elbows, knees and hands to avoid that patchy finish.

To keep that ‘baked skin’ with no bake use an oil free moisturiser daily and exfoliate regularly so that you stay an even colour through out.

Repeat process for regular application! :)

GO ORANGE

Turn The Heat Up

I’m still waiting for that heatwave to come, so I grabbed for my orange eye shadow today to warm things up.

"Persia" is the best, most ultimate highly pigmented orange eye shadow! I created a soft wing with a pencil brush to add length and lift to my eye.

Add "Sophia" on the lash line if you want to soften.

Bring definition to the eye, add a brown or black eye liner smudged around the lash line.

Perhaps a little sparkle.. pushed on top for that extra glisten.

Top tips for brides on their wedding day!

6 tips I followed on my wedding day

1) Have your trial a couple of months before your wedding 2) Bring references to your trial -  before your trail have a research on what sort of makeup you would like on your wedding day -- Do you have a colour theme? Whats your dress like? And how are you having your hair? These are the type of questions you what to have answered or have a rough idea when you come for your trail.   3) Skincare - its so important to treat your skin with kindness to the lead up to the wedding, whether that is adding an oil to your nighttime routine or face masking once a week or even treating yourself to facials so that your skin is plump and makeup ready for the big day. 4) Emphasise your eyes - make sure your under eyes are clean and bright. 5) Add colour - When you’re getting photographed the flash will wash you out slightly, so make sure you have a little more colour then you think as you want to look fresh and flushed all day long! 6) And lastly.... RELAX AND ENJOY IT!!!! I’ve attached a couple of photos from my wedding to give you an idea of what to expect and how makeup should be done! Remember everyones different, so your wedding makeup should cater to you and make you feel comfortable... with a touch of glam of course! My husband and I got married at a beautiful venue called Fanhams Hall in Hertfordshire.

How to make your red lipstick last!

IMG_1237.jpg

Prime the lips - for a smooth and long last application you need to make sure your lip and free from any flakey skin. Use a sugar scrub or even a tooth brush to exfoliate and then apply a lip balm to nourish and sooth.

Define your lips - using a red lip liner define the lips by tracing around them, being carful not to over draw.

Add the colour - Apply lipstick in the centre, layer to get the coverage and intensity you want.

Blot with tissue to help remove excess pigment.

Reapply lipstick

Powder over the top with a translucent powder and a small fluffy brush - this will help lock it in so that your lipstick doesn’t budge.

And there you have the perfect, long lasting red lip!

GET THE GLOW

My 3 chosen products to get the perfect glow!

IMG_1208.jpg

Start with skincare - Skin food by Weleda is one of my favourite moisturisers/treatments to really give your skin a boost of moisture and radiance.

Add a cream highlighter - I’m loving glossier haloscope warmed up between my fingers and pressed on to the skin. It gives a dewy hydrated finish.

And last but no means least, powder highlighter - Pink glow by Bobbi Brown. This is a pink pearlised powder that gives a diffused pink glow. I use a soft small fluffy brush and apply over the top of the cream highlighter for that extra luminosity!

3 Makeup "must haves" on your wedding day

image2-2.jpeg

3 makeup products every bride should have on their big day!

If your makeup is done well, it should be pretty bullet-proof. For those stubborn spots that peak out though out the day, a concealer touch-up tapped on top will fix that right up.

A little shine here and there which a dab of translucent powder will fix. Pressed is best as it will fit in your clutch and there's no mess.

Kissing, eating, drinking and chatting will all take its toll on your lips so have your lipstick to hand.
